You hear a song on the radio or the television; you decide to go out and buy the CD or download it from the internet, only to discover that you cannot buy the version you have heard – the one available to purchase contains explicit lyrics!

We are campaigning for the clean radio edit versions of all singles supplied by the Record Companies to all radio stations to be made available to everyone, as well as the un-edited explicit lyric versions currently available. We are not taking the moral high ground here or asking that all tracks be edited: we just want people to have the choice.

The current trend for explicit lyrics singles means that minors are unable to legally purchase their favourite music, and that a lot of songs are ‘taboo’ for family gatherings / functions as they may offend someone. We also believe that many people would just prefer to buy the clean versions that they hear on the radio for all manner of reasons – eg so they can play their music at any time at home without worrying what the kids might hear.

Help us by adding your name to our petition and spreading the word, and we will present the petition to the major Record Labels.
